Something draws people to confluences — the places where rivers meet, where currents lose their names and give themselves over to something larger. This is one such place. An archive of reading, cooking, and the stranger tributaries of thought that feed into daily life. Accumulated without agenda, kept without much order. Come in as you are.
I write about food and the rituals around it. I keep notes on books, films, and things found online that seem worth holding onto. Occasionally I finish a piece of fiction. The rest is drift.

Now
Reading The Rings of Saturn by W. G. Sebald for the second time. Cooking from Claudia Roden's A Book of Middle Eastern Food, specifically the chapter on rice. Thinking about what it means to maintain something — a site, a habit, a friendship — over years.
